When we decided that it was time to publish a book on workers compensation, we didn’t want to fill the pages with a bunch of rhetoric from the collective minds of our risk engineers. We wanted to get real answers from real people, so we did what any smart author would do – go to LinkedIn and ask real professionals what they do to cut work comp costs.
The response was overwhelming and the tips, well, they were incredible. Carol Bauer of Saint Louis, Missouri (my old home town) gave this useful tip.
Another tip is have the Employer occassionally send a “get well” card to the injured worker. It makes them feel that they are part of the team and more motivated to rtw.
