Most industrial hygienists will want to use either an English XL Slipmeter or ASM 725 slipmeter because they have held up as a reliable meter in court cases, can be easily calibrated and the like.  If you are thinking of buying one for your safety department, we would suggest these. Any rating greater that a .5 slip coefficient is good resistance and should help reduce the number of  slip and fall injuries occurring at your facility.

NFPA 101 2006 Edition 7.1.6.4 covers slip resistant floors.
